Marathon Monday
Mondays 6:30pm at the home of Fay
Starting with the Beautitudes of Matthew 5-7, the group will then move on to a study of the Gospels, reading through Matthew - John synoptically using their Bibles, Bible dictionaries, commentaries and lexicons as their guide and reference. Women of all ages are welcome to come anytime. Where does the name Marathon Monday come from? The group allows the study time be discussion driven, not the clock.

Using the book “More Messy People” by Jennifer Cowart, God can use imperfect people to do incredible things.
Jen Cowart continues her study of the very messy lives of biblical heroes-people who, like us, made mistakes but found God was able to use them in powerful ways. They all play a significant role in the biblical narrative, but their stories are far from perfect.
Through the lives of rival sisters like Leah and Rachel, or sisters with very different personalities like Martha and Mary, we see God chooses to use people who don’t have it all together. Through the lives of great, but imperfect, biblical heroes like Moses, Elijah, Peter, and Paul, we see God meets us in our troubles and chooses us even if we seem unqualified.

God of Deliverance, a Study of Exodus 1 - 18
No longer under the protection of their forefather Joseph, the children of Israel became slaves to the Egyptians. But God was raising up a deliverer in Moses, to lead His people from bondage to freedom so they could worship Him.
The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer.
In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Exodus 1–18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God.

You Can Understand Revelation; A 10-Session Bible Study by Jen Wilkin
Revelation shouldn’t leave us fearful or confused, but its imagery and concepts often confound our modern ears. If all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, though, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Study Revelation verse-by-verse to discover how the last book of the Bible is accessible, helpful, and speaks a steadying word of assurance and endurance to the church in every age.
