And So Much More!
Training is an awesome
learning experience! You will be learning from the best of
the best in evangelism, apologetics, and children‘s
ministry! Our training sessions last from 9:00 to 5:00 each
day. After training each night we will have a variety of fun
activities including tubing on the lake, barbecues, and
service projects.
What will I be doing after training?
After training you put your faith into action with some
one-on-one street evangelism (it is really an awesome thing
to do - past student missionaries have said evangelism was
one of their favorite things!) You will also be leading a
group of 6-8 kids during VBS. You will put your training
into action as you teach Bible studies, share the Gospel,
participate in skits, help lead singing and games, and so
much more!
How do I raise support?
First of all we encourage you to use some of your own money
for this experience. God’s Word tells us that it is good to
give sacrificially of our resources to serve Him. We also
encourage you to let your church family know about how you
want to serve God this summer. Lastly, we recommend writing
support letters to your family and friends asking them to
support you financially and in prayer. If you are accepted
to participate in this experience, we will provide you with
a sample support letter that you may adjust to suit your
needs.
Where will I stay and what will it be like?
It might feel a little intimidating to go and stay with a
family you don’t know. However, you really don’t have
anything to worry about! Your host family can’t wait to meet
you! You will get to spend time with your host family as
play with your new “brothers and sisters,” eat some meals
with them, and have the blessing of having someone to talk
to when you’re away from home.
